How can analytical instrument providers help ease the pain of updating analytical procedures?
The interest by manufacturers to support users is very well appreciated. I think first of all an active exchange is beneficial in all cases. Generally, providing as much data as possible on the comparability of two instruments is very helpful. This would on the one hand be technical data (materials, such as capillary coatings or column materials, separation lengths, detector differences, ...) and on the other hand performance data (are readouts on both instruments comparable in complex products with complex sample preparations, how does the handling affect measurement variances etc.).
