Invitation FAQ

As an expert in your field, we value your insights and experiences and invite you to share your knowledge with peers worldwide, either as a presenter or panellist during one of our webinars or expert forums.

The BioQC team has prepared this FAQ to address common questions about our invitation to participate.

If you have any inquiries, feel free to ask — we are here to assist.

What is BioQC, and what do you do?

BioQC is a global knowledge platform for scientists, researchers and innovators involved in the development and manufacturing of biopharmaceuticals and biologicals.

We deliver in-depth, expert-driven content and facilitate meaningful discussions around the challenges and innovations in CMC and related areas. From FIH studies to market approval, we support every stage of drug development with expert insights delivered via articles, eBooks, webinars, expert forums, and a thriving user community.

At BioQC, we believe that knowledge sharing accelerates progress — leading to more robust processes, faster development timelines, and safer, high-quality medicines for patients worldwide.

See our About Us page for more detailed information.

What are the advantages for me, as a presenter or panellist, of joining your online webinar or expert forum?

Participating as a speaker or panellist offers several benefits:

– Knowledge sharing: You can serve as an educator by sharing your experiences and insights, which is particularly beneficial for scientists, researchers, or industry innovators who cannot attend in-person conferences and events.

– Increased professional visibility: You can showcase your expertise to a specific audience, elevating your profile in your industry or niche.

– Enhanced credibility and authority: Being invited to speak positions you as a trusted expert, bolstering your reputation among peers.

– Networking opportunities: You will have the chance to connect with other experts and the BioQC team, often resulting in new collaborations or exchanges.

In short, serving as a presenter or panellist helps you build your reputation, expand your network, and create long-term value beyond the event.

What are the typical time commitments for both participation and preparation?

Live Broadcast Availability & Attendance

There is no need to attend live broadcasts on a specific date, since presentations and panel discussions are pre-recorded at times that work for all participants.

Presenter

Your pre-recording is estimated to take between 15 minutes and one hour, and you may self-record your presentation using PowerPoint. Alternatively, the BioQC team can set up a pre-recording session via Zoom.

The length of your video presentation is typically structured as follows:

– A webinar consists of a 30-40-minute presentation followed by a 20-30 minute Q&A session.

– A webinar with a panel includes a 15-30 minute presentation, then a 30-45 minute discussion among panel members.

– The Expert Forum features a 15-minute presentation, followed by a 45-minute panel discussion.

Preparing your presentation varies by individual, but based on our experience, it usually takes no more than 1-2 hours, since presentations are typically 15-40 minutes long and result in 8-20 slides (assuming 2 minutes per slide).

Panellist

The estimated time for pre-recording the panel discussion via Zoom is approximately 45 minutes. We will plan the sessions well in advance, choosing a date and time convenient for all participants. The BioQC team will moderate the discussion.

A ‘playbook’ will be created and shared, containing the questions for the panellists to discuss. Additionally, we will ensure that the panellists can access and review the presentation(s) beforehand.

Do you offer any guidelines before recording, and what is the process for submitting materials?

The BioQC team is always available to assist you during every stage of planning and executing the event. We created a straightforward questionnaire to gather your details, provide pre-recording guidelines, and include a file upload feature.

How and when should I submit my presentation materials (slides and pre-recorded video)?

As general guidance, please submit your final presentation materials at least 3-4 weeks prior to the live broadcast date. If applicable, this gives us time to distribute your presentation ahead of the panel discussion and helps us develop a more effective ‘playbook’ for the panellists.

We require both your PowerPoint (.pptx) and PDF file of your presentation slides, and PowerPoint (.pptx) or MP4 files for self-recorded video presentations.

Our presenter questionnaire clearly outlines the required information, and you can upload your files using our upload feature:

I’m interested in knowing the format of the expert forum panel discussion.

The best way to experience it is to watch a recent panel discussion—please see below.

How will the event be promoted?

Typically, there will be two regional broadcasts on each event day, enabling greater attendance from the EU/APAC and Americas regions. Following the live broadcasts, the event will be available on demand.

For panel discussions, we frequently compile the key learnings into a summary PDF to facilitate easy sharing of knowledge and insights.

Promotions are done via:

– Our website

– Our LinkedIn page

– The BioQC Insights monthly eNewsletter

– Email promotions

We always appreciate your co-promotions to your network through email and LinkedIn, which help share your expertise and strengthen your reputation among peers.

I’m eager to help — besides being a presenter or panellist, are there other opportunities to collaborate with BioQC?

Thank you! We certainly look forward to exploring how we can partner with you, for example:

Meet the Expert

We will record a short ‘5-minute pitch’ to showcase a relevant scientific paper you (co-)authored and publish this on the BioQC website. This is a great opportunity to increase visibility for your research and give potential readers a chance to learn more about you and the main insights from your article.

Visit our Video Articles section, and here is the link to the Meet the Expert Questionnaire for more details.

Article Contribution

BioQC is excited to receive and publish your contributed article on our website, provided it aligns with our focus areas. Share practical and pertinent insights on a specific challenge or technological method.  Topics can range from broad (e.g., What is QC?) to specific (e.g., Glycosylation analysis in vaccine products).

Visit our Articles section, and here is the link to the Article Contributor Questionnaire for more details (incl. a list of topic ideas).
